Lack of courage in a persons' life is quite an impediment to the growth of that person, in this case, it is essential for a person who is suffering from lack of it to find ways to develop courage.
Lack of courage in simple terms may be referred to as fear; the greatest fear known to man is the fear of the unknown.
Those who suffer from fear experience such feelings mainly because they have little or most probably total lack of knowledge on the subject matter.
Fear limits one's ability to achieve his or her full greatness; even though, fear mainly occurs in the mind of a person and it is up to oneself to try as much as possible to try and get rid of it.
There are various simple ways to get rid of fear thereby developing courage.
Courage in doing things will enable one to face life without any hesitations and later achieve full potential, this ultimately leads to greatness.
It is often presumed that great people do not suffer from fear; truth is that successful great people develop courage by working and eliminating their fears, initially they must have at one point suffered from some phobia.
The first and most important step of eliminating fear is to have knowledge of what fear you are suffering from and going ahead to find out how the fear affects you.
This helps in reducing the tension in the mind, thereafter a person should accept that he or she suffers from some fear.
Acceptance is vital since only when a person accepts that he suffers from some form of phobia, and then he will get some help.
This will also help the affected person feel better.
After having awareness of the type of fear that you are suffering from, it is up to you to go the extra mile and find ways to eliminate that fear.
If your main fear in doing business is taking risks, the most commendable thing to do is to visit business people who have taken great risks while undertaking business activities, such people will give you tips on how to manage risks thus help you develop courage.
This should motivate you in facing those fears head-on, when facing your fears, it will be realised that fear mainly occurs in the mind and in actual sense it does not exist.
Facing fears head-on will enable one to gain courage through experience and eventually it will be realized that the feared does not exist realistically, it is only a mind-set.
Another vital element in eliminating fear is to get rid of the emotional baggage in you.
This will only be possible after the above steps have been followed.
Thereafter one should ensure that no more negative feelings are allowed in the mind.
So as to succeed on ways to develop courage, one should try as much as possible to focus on the positives rather than on the negatives.
Do not dwell on what has been said or what has been perceived, take time and meditate on the issue always using your strengths to the best of your advantage.
