The Power of Visualization
And by visualizing the impossible they begin to see it as possible.
Having a vision for your future, what you want to be, your hopes and dreams for a better you is one of two to make things happen.
Some people write their goals down to remind themselves constantly while others visualize them.
And I go with visualization...
Why? Simply because we use visualization in almost every aspect in our daily life, you visualize/imagine wearing the clothes you are thinking about, visualizing how your life would be if you'd done things differently, to regret or to be thankful that's really none of my business.
But the thing is that what we visualize affect our attitudes, moods and states of mind.
And here's how...
When you see yourself as whoever you want to be that way you're imagining everything about the future you, what do you look like, the places, the people everything.
If you could see your mythical being and you actually liked your new life then that's what will make it possible.
Because, now you fancy your dream, you've seen the good side and the bad side and that's the transitional stage where your dream changes to a desire you know you can make it happen.
Visualization is a great way to achieve the impossible New Year's resolution as it's a world wide fact that less than 10% actually make it.
Among the many ways to make dreams a reality, I chose visualization.
I'm one of the 10% who succeeded thank God, and I'm going to share my wisdom with you.
But, before I give you my magical recipe, I'll tell you the Top10 most common New Year's resolutions so you don't feel alone, 1.
lose weight 2.
stop smoking 3.
stick to budget 4.
save or earn more money 5.
become more organized 6.
find true love 7.
exercise more 8.
be more patient with others 9.
eat better 10.
become a better person If you're New Year's resolution is one of these, then don't worry a lot of people are going through the same as you.
Back to my recipe, it consists of two resolutions, pen, paper, calendar, deadlines and reality.
Allow me to elaborate, I make to resolutions one on New Years Eve and the other is on my birthday and the things I'd like to accomplish before turning ...
I start by writing them down and that doesn't make them possible for me until I visualize them and if I do really want them I start by making my deadlines using my calendar and hang it in a place visible to me but not to the others.
And here's the trick, GET REAL with your deadlines, I mean never decide to lose 10 kilos in one week that's just ridiculous.
Because, if you did so, then your enthuse will lessen greatly and it'll be 2 times harder to achieve your goals.
You can also, break your goal down to smaller steps you can make and assess yourself accordingly.
That will help you know if you're doing OK or if you need to work even harder.
Always make sure to meet your first deadline successfully; it does feel good to know you are in progress.
Another important point is to stick to your plan.
Focus on your goal; constantly remind yourself why you are doing that, which will help a lot.
The best part is the last one, the reward, other than feeling good about yourself promise yourself something you wanted to do/have for so long as a prize.
But if your goal is to loose weight and you did succeed don't reward yourself by eating a huge greasy meal.
Go get yourself new expensive clothes, something to boost your will.
After I achieved my primary goal, I started believing in the saying anything is possible.
I know for sure that I'm much stronger than I thought I was.
That I do actually have a will! And that's how you'll feel once you achieve any of your dreams, the feeling to know you are capable of changing to a better you is priceless.
So, always use the power of visualization to create what you want in life.
