This is usually the most difficult to do because you have to actually seek out up and coming developers and convince them that you can be a valuable asset to their video game building process. Game tester job openings aren't widely posted publically because people working in the industry often give the first oppourtunities to their closest friends who are also gamers but you can still get lucky.
Browse and lurk in popular video game communities and search for new titles being developed by undiscovered creators. You then build a friendly relationship with these individuals and hope for the chance that they will present you with a video game testing job. More often than not you will recieve no pay working for these types but you will gain valuable experience and eventually be able to level up to working for a prestigious video game developer such as Bethesda, Electronic Arts, Steam, Raven, etc...
Now that you have the basic fundamentals of searching out for your dream job I will give you a shortcut that does require a little bit of an initial investment, this is the easy way I spoke of before. You may have already seen sites that require you to become a member and they guarantee you a game testing job, this can range from $20-$50 for membership. There are few that actually follow up on that promise. While many gamers have been jaded by shady companies I can assure you that there is one or two out there actually worth every penny you invest in a membership and the best thing is that most times you can work from home at first gaining experience and a little cash on the side which normally ranges from $8-$15 per hour.
