Different Types of Hemorrhoids
One is internal hemorrhoids.
It is a type of hemorrhoid that we cannot see.
It appears at the higher area of the anal canal, therefore we cannot see it.
The most common symptom for this type of hemorrhoid is bleeding.
External hemorrhoid on the other hand, is very visible.
It appears on the outside of the anus.
They usually appear as blue-colored, skin-covered veins that have ballooned.
This type of hemorrhoid usually appears without any symptoms.
But when these type of hemorrhoids are inflamed, they turn red and become tender.
An example of internal hemorrhoids is the prolapsed internal hemorrhoid.
This is caused when straining during bowel movement, the internal hemorrhoids are pushed thus, comes out through the anal opening.
It can become very painful because it is difficult to push it back inside the rectum.
An example of external hemorrhoid is the thrombosed hemorrhoid.
It happens when a blood clot develops inside an external hemorrhoid, thus causes severe pain.
This type of external hemorrhoid is usually found in the anal area as a tender mass that is firm.
Anal fissure is also associated to hemorrhoid.
It happens when there is a tear in the anal tissue, usually a tear that is very thin and is slit like.
Anal fissures cause bleeding during bowel movement, pain and itching.
Hemorrhoids are very common in both sexes.
But it is most common for pregnant women.
However, those that are caused by pregnancy are only a temporary problem.
