Where to Find Blitzball Recruits on "Final Fantasy X"

Forward

• Recruit Wedge at Luca Stadium's main gate. He requires a salary of 160 gil per game. After level 20, you should replace Wedge with Larbeight, who has a substantially higher shooting stat and is located at Kilika Port's docks. Larbeight can be recruited for a 22 game contract at a salary of 70 gil per game. You should use Tidus, your main character, as your other forward throughout the game.
  
  

Midfielder

• Recruit Zev Ronso for 150 gil at Luca Harbor's fifth dock and retain him until you come across Brother on the airship's bridge at level 35. All of Brother's stats are close to or far superior to Zev Ronso's stats, which makes his higher salary of 210 gil per game well worth it.
  
  

Defense

• Recruit Ropp at the Mi'ihen Highroad's Travel Agency for a salary of 200 gil per game and retain him throughout the game. For your other defensive player, recruit either Zalitz at the Luca Theater or Jassu in the Besaid Auroch's locker room at Luca Stadium. While Zalitz requires a salary of 150 gil per game, his stats are significantly better than Jassu's, although that player only requires a salary of 10 gil per game based on an eight game contract.
  
  However, you should let either player go once you recruit Larbeight. With Larbeight at forward, switch Wedge to defense. His stats at this point make him a more effective defensive player than either Jassu or Zalitz.
  
  

Goalkeeper

• Recruit Jumal at Luca Seaport Square or Keepa in Besaid Auroch's locker room in Luca Stadium. Jumal requires 200 gil a game, while Keepa needs a 16-game contract for 60 gil each. Either keeper will do until you reach level 35. At that point get Nimrook, who has a much stronger catching stat. Nimrook can be found in the airship's corridor. His contract calls for 24 games at 100 gil each.
