EGYPT: Is America Going the Same Direction?

103 22
Egyptians took the streets on the heels of the happenings in Tunisia.
They are protesting 30 yrs of President Hosni Mubarak, in which the population of Egypt have become poor and jobless, while Officials in the Government became rich.
These people are very patient; I am surprised the uprising has taken this long to come to the surface.
These people are from every part of Egyptian society, including the rich class as well as the poor.
These people come from all religious backgrounds.
The vast majority of these folk seem to be non political, freedom seekers who are sick of Government corruption.
Some call for freedom others for Islamic rule.
Governments like relationships- They Morph, They are working on what they are about to become.
President Hosni Mubarak did seem like a reasonable leader for about his first twelve years.
Then he and the rest of the government implemented ways of manipulating markets and funneling monies that the public needed to maintain a healthy and free market place.
As the Government of President Hosni Mubarak, realized that they could get away with more and more, the corruption grew until corruption became the regular state of affairs.
I speculate that one of the reasons that the president pursued peace with Israel is because he didn't want to spend the money it took to wage war.
Nevertheless, the Egyptian Government changed and morphed over time.
As things grew worse and worse for the general population changed also.
Now the peaceful and happy people of Egypt are mad as the fires of hell.
The actions taken by the Mubarak Government are responsible.
Actions they took over the last two decades had molded the population of Egypt into the furious and angry mob you see on the streets today.
Any wise person could have seen this coming.
Condoleezza Rice is an American political scientist and diplomat.
She served as the 66th United States Secretary of State with President George Bush.
During a moment of political frustration she said...
"We have forgone Democracy to gain stability and we have neither stability nor democracy".
Condoleezza Rice And so is the state of Egypt today.
America is going the same direction: President Barack Obama recently passed legislation that effectively allows him and his superiors to legally assassinate any American as long as they feel they are a "threat".
The problem is that they are the ones who decide what a "threat" is.
Just like "Joseph Stalin" he decided the definition of the tertm: "threat" and killed or imprisoned innocent people, sometimes just because they would not sell grain.
Heir Hitler did the same when he had his political opponent's murdered and Killed six Million Jews, because they were a "threat" to him and therefore a "threat" to Germany.
The legal guidance in our case is determined by the National Security Council, the Justice Department, and President Barack Obama.
Am I the only one in America who can see what is coming in future years? No President should have the ability to kill without due process.
Where is the Constitution?Great Power such as this should never be in the hands of a small group of politically charged persons.
To allow this to happen is the beginning of the end of any Free Nation.
If this is allowed to continue then America is over.
Don't believe me yet then crack a history book.
Everyone who wielded this great sword (The Ability to legally assassinate anybody they want) used it also against his political opponents, because they disagreed.
This power will fast turn to a "great evil" ruling and operating at high places.
Every American needs to tell their political Officials that we oppose this policy; that Americans can't be assassinated or imprisoned without Habeas corpus.
Tell them you are against the secret prisons being set up by President Barrack Obama.
Now is the time for us to use the political system and our Freedoms to defend our freedoms.
Know this:the Left will go on using our freedoms to destroy our freedoms.
Our sons and daughters are not fighting on foreign fields to defend Barack Obama's right to Assassinate or imprison Americans without a trial.
Please respond.
