One of the main types of chicken coops is classified according to the material used in building your coop.  These two types are wood and Eglus (or plastic).

The second kind of chicken coop according to material is the Eglus coop. It is a plastic, tent-like structure coop that looks similar to an igloo. These Eglus coops said to be predator proof and come with an attached chicken run. They are urban friendly, and are recommended to those who don’t have large backyard. They only hold a few chickens, so if you plan to raise many chickens the wooded is the best for you. But if you live in a city or just want to have 2 chickens, the Eglus is a great option.
