How to Boost the Wired Internet Signal for a PS3

    • 1). Change the "Internet Connection Settings" of the PS3 to "Wired Connection." Power on the PS3 and scroll to "Settings" and then "Network Settings." Press the "X" button on the PS3 controller and choose "Internet Connection Settings" followed by the "X" button again. When prompted, highlight "Yes," and push the "X" button. Select "Wired Connection" and then "Easy" when prompted.

    • 2). Turn off your PS3. Plug one end of the Ethernet crossover cable into the Ethernet port of your PC and the other end of the Ethernet crossover cable to the Ethernet port found on the back of the PS3.

    • 3). Ensure that your wireless adapter is allowing your computer to establish an Internet connection.

    • 4). Direct your PC cursor to "Start" and"Control Panel." Click "Network and Sharing Center." Choose "Change Adapter Settings" from the left menu panel to access the network settings of the PC.

    • 5). Hold down the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard, and highlight "LAN Network Connection" and "Wireless Network Panel" with your cursor.

    • 6). Click the right bumper of your mouse, and select "Bridge Connections."
