Frank Angst

I’ve always enjoyed sports, as a participant, fan, coach, and a sports writer. I started playing football at age five and continued into college. I picked up track in high school. Somewhere along the line, I also found I enjoyed writing. In high school I was pretty sure I’d be a sports writer.

While it can be hard work, I’ve enjoyed so many unique experiences. Some of my favorite sporting contests? I covered a Marshall team that rallied from a 30-point halftime deficit to win the 2001 GMAC Bowl 64-61 in double overtime against East Carolina. In horse racing, the Kentucky Derby is always a highlight, as well as the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

I love the many stories in horse racing and look forward to finding, and telling, the next one.

With this site, I hope to point you toward a career you enjoy as much as I enjoy mine.
