There seems to be an increasing demand for a natural cure for hemorrhoids, or piles as some people call it.
These are swollen and inflamed veins that are found in and around the rectal area.
It forms a sac-like protrusion that becomes itchy and sometimes bleeds when irritated.
Often mistaken for polyps, rectal, or colon cancer because of the similar symptoms it manifested, hemorrhoids are usually caused by an individual's lifestyle.
Most of these cases are attributed to constipation, stress, and anal intercourse.
Constipation problems may be due to several factors.
One is from the poor diet of the patient himself, possibly from the lack of dietary fiber and liquids needed to promote good bowel movement.
Papaya and figs are fruits known to have a laxative effect; these can help soften stool and ease constipation.
Another factor can be from lack of exercise, which slows down the metabolism of the body and in turn slows down the digestive process.
What you want to ultimately avoid is the stress, which can cause the rectal veins to swell, such as sitting down too long, chronic coughing, and lifting heavy objects.
There are two types of hemorrhoids, internal and external.
Internal hemorrhoids involve areas infected within the insides of the anal area.
External hemorrhoids involve those that are just under the skin and can be seen around the areas of the anus.
In instances where a person has developed this condition, there are a few natural remedies that can be used as alternative treatment methods.
After bowel movement, try using wet wipes or toilet paper that is wetted a bit to lessen irritation in the anal area.
Do not take too long to relieve yourself either; if you are having constipation problems, then it is absolutely best that you drink lots of liquids or eat a lot of fruits like those suggested previously.
You can take sitz baths - it is a bath wherein you immerse yourself in water from the hips downwards.
You need the soothing mixture of hot water and saline solution to help alleviate the itchiness and the swelling.
Stand up and walk around if you have to, but do not stay seated in one place for too long.
This will turn the pressure away from your rear end.
Lastly, try to eat foods rich in dietary fiber.
There are a lot of vegetables and fruits that will provide you with a lot of these.
Also, try to avoid spicy foods because these can cause further irritation, as well as buildup of gases.
These are just some of the many suggestions on a natural cure for hemorrhoids - more information on this can be gathered from your doctor or from the Internet.
