So your relationship has become quite rocky and conflict between both of you is non-stop.
Is the relationship worth continuing? If both of you are in love, there is a way to help each other in your relationship.
The first items of business you both need to do is sit down with each other and communicate on an equal level.
Next you need to forgive each other.
Finally you need to forget.
Communication Communication is the base of any relationship.
Both people in the relationship need to realize they are equal to the other.
Overbearing dominance does not exist in happy couples.
Feelings of love and trust, however, will dominate strong couples that are equal partners.
While communicating with the other person in the relationship, ensure you treat each other with respect and encourage each other the same treatment.
You should state what you want to the other person and ensure you hear their side of the story as well.
Each item that is communicated should be discussed thoroughly to ensure both of you understand each side and the reasons you believe what you do.
After this is accomplished, determine if middle ground exists where you both can agree.
If middle ground can not be reached, you can either agree to disagree, work out a plan where the one person gets their way one time and the other person the next time.
This will encourage equality, and it will help them see your side as well as you seeing their side of the issue.
Middle ground can then be determined on the subject.
If there is no middle ground, the item bay be one that you both agree to disagree on and should probably be avoided in the future to eliminate future contention.
Always come up with communication goals.
Time can be a goal for communication.
There are couples that plan on a minimum of 15 minutes alone together to communicate about their day, and everything else they may want to talk about.
Communicating without raising your voices is another great goal.
Communicating you love the other person at least once daily is another great goal if your relationship is in contention.
Forgive It is difficult to forgive the person who has hurt you so much.
Forgiveness is not just a word it is an act of trust in your partner.
He or she most likely did not want to hurt you in the first place.
They want to know that the person they love, because they want that trust back, can forgive them.
Couples that can forgive each other will be able to overcome most problems in regards to hurt in their relationship.
You should also forgive yourself for the pain too.
Dwelling on the past can bring it back to bite you again.
Forgive yourself so you can move on without the hurt being ever present.
Forget Do not dwell on past mistakes in your relationship.
They will only come back to haunt you.
When you both have forgiven each other and yourself, forget about the pain, the anguish and the problem that was caused.
Remembering the hurt will only cause more hurt, and more contention.
In other words, when the water went under the bridge, there is no way to bring it back.
Let it go unknown into the ocean never to be retrieved.
