You can use some oil like vegetable oil in the bathing water of your pet.
Mix oil in the water, this will make fleas smoother and it help you in getting rid of the fleas.

Just buy a collar made of cotton and some repellent oil.
You can put oil in the freezer too.
In this way, you can use it for a year.
Now put this oil on the collars once a week and your pet will be safe from fleas.
If you feed your dog with some garlic then smell of garlic will be extracted through dog's skin and fleas will feel very uncomfortable with its smell.
Don't try any other chemical that may be harmful like acids and other chemicals.
