What Does a Bed Bug Bite Look Like - Learn How to Determine If You Have Bed Bugs

What does a bed bug bite look like? This is a very common question I get from people when I go on bed bug inspections.
There is tons of confusion when it comes to bed bugs.
People often don't know if they are dealing with bed bugs or something else when the infestation begins.
Most people associate bed bugs infestation with something that only happens at dirty motels or dirty homes.
Most people do not realize that these pesky insects can occur in four star hotels, brand new apartment complexes, and homes that are cleaned every day.
In the easiest way I can, I am going to describe a bed bug bite.
These bites first appear as a itchy red dot or several red marks or red rashes.
It really all depends on how you react to the bite.
Every person's skin will react differently.
Some people do not react at all to the bite.
It really just depends on your bodily response.
Often times, the bites appear in threes.
This is not always the case.
In severe cases, you may have bed bugs bites all over your body.
In other cases, you may just have a few bites in different areas on the top of your body.
You should notice that I said the top of your body.
These nasty little parasites usually strike on the upper half of your body because they are attracted to the CO2 you emit when you sleep at night.
They can sense your body heat and CO2 and move toward you for their blood meal.
If you are getting bit many times on your feet and legs, but not on your back, neck, shoulders, and arms, then you are probably not dealing with bed bugs.
This could be a sign of fleas, and the treatment for fleas is entirely different.
In addition, infestations almost always start in a bed room.
If they start in another room, it could be because someone has been sleeping in the room.
In the early stages of the infestation, you will likely only get bitten during the night hours.
I personally recommend you call out a specialist to your house if you think you have an infestation.
A pest control company will be able to identify if you are dealing what types of pest you are dealing with.
Just because you call the professionals out to your house, you can still eliminate them yourself.
See if the pest control company that comes out to your house will complete a free inspection of your home.
