The NEW Revolution - Cultural Creatives
This is a win, win situation, one you can work around your family and two; you are using fewer resources and reducing the stress on the planet.
Let me explain when I am at work I have to drive, there is no public transport and walking would take me two hours.
Car-pooling is sometimes an option but more often not.
I work in an office with lights, heating, cooling and computers.
Huge expense, even after our office has been "greened".
I sit at my desk and work on the computer 70% of my day.
The rest of the day is attending meetings.
Welcome the revolution...
I can do all this at home.
Thanks to the internet and Skype...
'Love Skype'.
I can stay at home and open or close my doors/windows for heating and cooling, I can use my laptop and wireless internet connection.
The car stays in the garage and sunlight is perfect for working in or outdoors.
I am more productive, as I have fewer interruptions and if I need to chat, there is always email, Skype and/or Facebook.
My costs are low and the office does not have to maintain another workstation.
Fabulous.
So why aren't many businesses doing this? I think it is just habit, to have people report to the office, maybe it's a psychological barrier of control.
You know the boss has to see you working to believe it!Well I say, "I want to work from home and I want to be successful".
I want to help the planet and I want to help mankind.
I want to develop and embrace my spirituality and be the best I can be.
I want to be part of the "NEW Revolution.
" There is a change occurring all around the world, right NOW.
I am not alone on this; in fact there is estimated to be around 50 million of us, and probably more.
People who are sick of the corporate world and running around the round-a-bout, People who want to reconnect with the earth, themselves and spiritual happiness and they are called Culture Creatives.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopaedia Cultural Creatives is a term coined by sociologist Paul H.
Ray and psychologist Sherry Ruth Anderson to describe a large segment in Western society that has recently developed beyond the standard paradigm of Modernists versus Traditionalists of Conservatists.
The concept was presented in their book The Cultural Creatives: How 50 Million People Are Changing the World (2000), where they claim to have found that 50 million adult Americans (slightly over one quarter of the adult population) can now be identified as belonging to this group.
They estimated that there were an additional 80-90 million Cultural Creatives in Europe as of 2000.
