How to Enable a Windows Firewall

1). Click the "Start" menu and select "Control Panel."
2). Double-click the "Security Center" icon (Windows XP) or click "Security" link (Windows Vista and 7).
3). Click "Windows Firewall" (Windows XP) or "Turn Windows Firewall on or off" (Windows Vista and 7).
4). Click the "General" tab. Check the "On (recommended)" radio button, and click "OK" to close the window.
