The Specialist Winx Brandon

103 2
When the Winx club animated series first broke into the television scene, its producers never expected it to be such a hit amongst kids and young adults.
It was actually produced to entertain very young children, both boys and girls; hence the inclusion of male characters in the series which act as the love interests of the Winx girls.
One might wonder why the Specialists, led by Sky, for all their fighting skills and prowess are not gifted with magical powers in the series, unlike the Winx themselves.
Perhaps, the producers wanted to portray male characters which the young boys can easily identify with; strong bodies, great fighting skills, quick-witted, charismatic and intelligent that do not require magic.
Male traits that makes them perfect heroes for young boys, without actually removing the limelight from the Winx girls, who are the true lead characters in the story.
It is not easy being second to your best friend, even if you are equally handsome, with nice looking bodies and abilities as a fighter and swordsman.
Nonetheless, Brandon has always been a ladies' man, which endears him to the opposite sex more than his best friend will ever be perhaps, despite Sky's status as a prince of Eraklyon.
Brandon is a commoner who got the looks of a royal prince, with brown short hair that frames his face.
That is perhaps the reason, why he easily passed as prince Sky, when they traded places at the prodding of Sky, himself.
Sky wanted to experience the life of a normal guy and at the same time, he wanted to protect himself from those who are plotting against his life, hence he traded places with Brandon.
Brandon is one of the two strongest amongst the Specialists and certainly one of the best graduates that Red Fountain every produced.
He shares some traits inherent in Stella, the Winx member who is also the best friend of Bloom.
That is why perhaps they fell for each other and he became Stella's fiance.
Throughout the series, Brandon, along with the rest of the Specialists came to aid and accompany the Winx club members in their adventures and fight against the evil forces represented by The Trix, Lord Darkar and Valtor.
Brandon as Sky broke the heart of Bloom in one instance.
Due to the potion which the Trix mixed with the drinks of the Specialists, the boys acted strangely which made the Winx girls think that the boys are cheating on them.
Fortunately, they were able to discover the ploy and heal the boys through the healing potion which Flora concocted for them.
It was a dark moment for both the Specialists and the Winx, since they love each other's respective partners and would not do anything intentionally to hurt the other.
It was a moment which served as a lesson for all of them, to always trust each other no matter what their eyes may see.
Due to the success of the series, several franchises on toys, clothing and games have been produced and marketed.
In fact, several Winx club dolls had already been released, which are dressed fashionably and came with interesting accessories.
At present however, only the character of Brandon have been franchised with a doll.
Hence, only Brandon dolls are in the market right now, along with the Winx club dolls.
