How to Revoke a Green Card

    • 1). Gather all evidence of fraud, misrepresentation or disobedience to laws. While green cards are commonly revoked for marriage status and job fraud, it is possible for a person to lose green card status if he or she fails to obey local, state and federal laws.

    • 2). Present incriminating evidence along with the individual's full name, home address and date of birth to the USCIS office (see Resources). Make certain to leave your contact information (full name, telephone number and home address) in case further information is needed during the investigation process.

    • 3). Attend the hearing when prompted by the USCIS and be prepared to testify. The office typically makes a decision to revoke or refrain from such action based on evidence and testimonies at the hearing and the investigation results.
