Some Great Tips For Losing Weight After Pregnancy
First of all I love being a new mum.
There's nothing like the feeling of giving birth to a beautiful new baby and knowing that you're now responsible for such a delicate new life.
But one of the things I dislike most about being pregnant is the way my body changes, and I mean how it physically changes.
I have always looked after my health and eaten the right foods, and I exercise frequently and keep myself in good shape but there comes a point during pregnancy when you notice your body changing shape and there isn't much you can do about that.
After giving birth one of the first things I want to do for myself is to get rid of that ugly left over baby fat, but what is the best way to go about losing weight after pregnancy? First of all you have to realize that the baby fat isn't going to disappear overnight.
You want to first get yourself and your new baby properly bonded.
Give it at least a couple of months after giving birth until you start thinking about weight loss.
This is especially important if you breast feed.
You need all the nourishment you can get for your newborn and breastfeeding can help to speed up your weight loss naturally anyway.
Now you and your baby have bonded and are settled then this is the time to start focusing on losing weight after pregnancy.
It doesn't really matter what anybody wants to lose weight for, losing weight always boils down to the same basic principles.
Make sure you are eating good healthy foods.
These should include mostly vegetables, beans, lentils, fresh fruit and nuts, whole grain bread.
Other foods to be eaten in moderation are foods such as lean meats, eggs.
skinless chicken, yogurt, low fat milk.
These are high protein foods that also contain some carbohydrates.
As with all good health and fitness it is important to drink lots of water to keep you hydrated and help dilute and flush any bad toxins from the body.
Try to drink at least 2 liters of water each day.
And remember to exercise.
Exercising is great to keep fit and healthy anyway but is also excellent for losing weight after pregnancy.
Not only will exercise help your recovery process from your labor and birth it also helps you in regaining your pre-pregnancy body shape as well as helping to increase your energy levels which we all know we need lots of when coping with a new baby.
If you start putting these points into action then you will soon enough begin to notice that you are indeed losing weight after pregnancy.
