Forensic scientists collect physical information from crime scenes. They analyze the evidence using specialized techniques and help investigators determine details about the crime. According to Higher Education in India, there is a growing demand for forensic scientists in India. Most hold at least a three-year Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science degree. Salary varies by region and position, but annual salaries start at around 4,000 rupees. - Many people with a background in forensic science take laboratory technician positions with local or state law enforcement agencies. Forensic laboratory technicians collect crime scene information, such as blood samples, hair samples and fingerprints.
