Secrets from Inside the Pizzeria Review

101 41
Straight from Manhattan's famous New York pizza makers to your own home, Bev Collins' "Secrets from Inside the Pizzeria" boosts that it can teach anyone how to make an incredible pizza.

I eat a lot of diet food, but from time to time I succumb to the delicious monster that is pizza. Italy's devil child may seem easy to make - just add some vegetables, some peperoni, some fungi, meat whatever or the dough, oven it and voila! You haven't tried to make a pizza before if you believe that.

My past attempt at cooking my own pizza have been cataclysmic, seriously before picking up this book, I'd turn out pizzas that weren't even worthy of Figgs, my pet dog. Yes, as you can tell Ms. Collins delivers and her course is INCREDIBLE.

It includes a DVD and pdf, which will show and guide you step-by-step on how to bake that special and incredible piece of pizza, all complete with loads of inside info like the right kind of tools, conditions (no tap water for example), ingredients and so on.

Following the instructions from the video (including tracking down the proper ingredients and tools as recommended) I made a fairly astounding pizza on the first attempt. I grew up an hour outside of Manhattan, so I'm quite familiar with what a true NY style pizza should taste like and this video is spot on. I've attempted to make pizza using a variety of methods over the years and most have been okay, but none would make me consider losing the number to my local pizza shop until now.

No need to buy frozen pizza anymore, and no need to go to pizza restaurants any more. This book gave me all the info I needed to learn to make my own pizzas that are far cheaper and far healthier and tastier than 99% of restaurants. I like making hi-fiber, low fat pizza - yes you can taste the whole wheat - but with enough honey - it tastes great.

Plus, making it yourself creates quality family time - my daughter loves to help me make the dough and then put on the sauce and cheese.

Yes, Secrets from Inside the Pizzeria is totally worth it and has my 9/10.
