How to Troubleshoot Pop-Up Campers
- 1). Check the winch gears for any sign of wear and tear. Lubricate the gears and handle bearings with water resistant grease. Lubricate all other bearings and shafts with oil, taking care not to allow any oil or grease to come in contact with the clutch brake mechanism.
- 2). Check all the cables for any damage and replace if necessary.
- 3). Check that the gas valve is turned on and the hoses are securely connected to the tank if the stove in the pop-up camper will not light.
- 4). Check that the drain on the side of the pop-up camper is off if the sink will not drain. Make sure that the sink's hoses are not kinked or bent.
- 5). Check that the power cord is plugged in and there is AC power available if there is no power to the pop-up camper. Inspect the converter for any tripped switches and blown fuses. Reset breakers as necessary and replace blown fuses with others of the exact same rating. Check that the kitchen unit is positioned on the safety switch if the lights do not come on.
