How to Adjust the Husky RV Sway Control
- 1). Locate the brake tension screw located on the opposite of the on/off handle on the sway bar. Use the preset factory settings to start. If two Husky RV sway bars are in use, each side is adjusted separately.
- 2). Test for RV trailer sway. Drive the tow vehicle with a properly loaded trailer and Husky RV sway bar attached. If there is insufficient sway control, park the vehicle on a level surface so that the trailer and the tow vehicle are in a straight line.
- 3). Adjust the sway control by turning the brake tension screw ¼ turn clockwise. For RV trailers with two sway bars, adjust the brake tension screw on each bar. Repeat the test drive and brake tension screw adjustment until the desired amount of sway control is achieved. Vehicles with two RV sway bars may have the trailer sway to one side. If this happens, adjust the sway bar on the side with the most sway, repeat the test drive to see if this resolved the problem.
