Speaking in Grandchildren"s Classroom
This was an honor and a memory I do not want to ever forget and I hope my grandkid never forget either.
Without having the self-esteem to actually publish your own book and to let family, friends, and complete strangers read it, takes real guts.
But without that first step of self-publishing your book, you never would have even thought of something so bazaar as speaking in your grandkids school classrooms.
Without your book you would have never taken another step out of your comfort zone and taken a public speaking class.
This is a class where you really get to know yourself, make yourself grow in ways you never dreamed of and also boost your self-esteem.
All these new and wonderful experiences which came out of something you found the nerve to do would never have happened without you taking the first step and your book was published.
It is not only adults who want and do publish their own books but children are now joining on to the band wagon.
It is true many kid do not like to read as well as write in today's electronic wonderland of games of all kinds in degrees of mind numbing torture, guns and whatever the game inventors think the kids and adults will play.
When in the middle of all this electronics games, there comes forth one nine year old child that not only wanted to self-publish one children's book he wrote but several.
He also will do his own art work, and also make his own cover.
Since published books are so expensive, he can put his books on CD's and give or sell them to friends and family.
With this nine year old boy, we can say, yes the younger generation will have some brains not all mush they get from the electronic mindless, games.
