How to Write a Good Product Article
Here are some issues to take note of before you begin writing 1) Write about the WHY.
Write about why consumers should use the product.
Focus on the special features of the product.
For example, if you are trying to write about a vacuum cleaner, don't just say that the product is in blue.
You can write about the coolness of the color.
In other words, turn the feature into a benefit.
Do what you can to help the visitors understand why they should be using your product, and not your competitors' products.
That way, you don't have to hard sell them anything.
They may have convinced themselves to make a purchase.
2) Focus on branding.
There are many reasons why a customer will choose a product over another.
One major reason is branding.
What is branding? In short, branding is a form of perceived value.
If the visitor already believes that Company X produces high quality products, then the visitor is more likely to buy from Company X.
It doesn't matter if that's true for that particular product.
If the visitor believes this, then it's real to the visitor and he will act on it.
So promote your brand whenever possible when writing product based articles.
Don't just write about the specifications.
Not everyone will buy based on specs alone.
Besides, specs can sometimes be deceiving.
For instance, poor quality parts may be used to try and bring down the cost of production.
On paper, the specs look the same, but the quality of the parts are different.
Selling based on brand is very powerful.
So be sure to use this technique in your articles.
3) Do not oversell.
Yes, you should try to promote the products you are writing about.
But a common mistake many writers make is that they try too hard to sell.
Readers are turned off by all the hype.
They are on your website for quality content.
Your job, is to make sure that you give them the information that they need to come to a buying decision.
Once you have accomplished that, you job as a writer is done.
There is no need to use hard selling tactics in your article body.
You will sell more with simple articles that are well presented.
