The reasons for this are the cultural pressures that modern society places upon women to look their best.
However, generally most women due to hormones etc are naturally going to struggle with weight gain more than men.
This means many women struggle to lose belly fat, going through many diets and maybe other weight loss extremes.
So how can women really lose belly fat and weight gain in a sensible and safe fashion.
Well one of the problems is the obsession with weight, and only once this has been addressed can progress be made.
You need to be sure you are trying to lose belly fat for the right reasons.
You need to be making these changes for your self and your own health, not for the benefit of others.
This way you can reduce the pressure of trying to lose fat, and often stress is a key contributor to weight gain.
Lifestyle changes are crucial, however you can make them social changes as well.
For instance you may think you don't have enough time to spend with your friends, therefore try and incorporate these activities with your friends.
For example you could cook more together which would benefit your diet, and also go out on walks together, or participate in some form of competitive sports.
Too much emphases on weight loss is on dieting and going to the gym, these are clearly not effective or people would not be constantly searching for alternatives.
