- 1). Find a lawyer who specializes in speeding ticket cases or choose to represent yourself. Wait for a summons to appear in court to contest your case.
- 2). Contact the district attorney's office in the county in which you received the speeding ticket. Ask to speak with the lawyer prosecuting your case and attempt to work out an agreement before you appear in court.
- 3). Appear in court and politely tell the judge why you think you don't deserve the speeding ticket. The judge will decide whether or not the ticket should be waived.
