Job Description:Data network specialists are responsible for the installation, configuration, and management of data network systems in both a stand-alone and client-server environment, including MS Exchange, Defense Message Systems, and other authorized data network systems. They install, confiqure, and maintain network services, both hardware and software.
They also plan and execute the integration of multiple information systems in a network environment, evaluate and resolve customer information system problems, and effect required hardware upgrades and repair to maintain mission capability. This MOS will be assigned and voided only by the authority of the CMC (MM).
Job Requirements:
(1) Must possess a GT score of 110 or higher.
(2) Complete the Data Network Specialist Course, MCCES 29 Palms, CA.
(3) Active duty Marines must have two years of active duty upon completion of training.
(4) Must have a secret security clearance.
(5) Must be a U.S. citizen.
