How to Make a CFG for "Return to Castle Wolfenstein"
- 1). Navigate to the "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" directory on your hard drive.
- 2). Right-click any empty location in the folder.
- 3). Select "New," followed by "Text Document."
- 4). Double-click the text document to open it.
- 5). Enter the settings you want the game to use. Unlike the "wolfcfg.cfg" settings file, you do not need to add the word "seta" before each setting. Additionally, each setting you wish to change needs to be on its own line.
- 6). Select "File," followed by "Save As" when you are finished adding your settings.
- 7). Select "All Files" from the "Save As Type" drop-down menu.
- 8). Type "autoexec.cfg" as the name of the file, without the quotation marks, to make your configuration file load automatically when the game is started. If you name your .cfg file a different name, you must enable it in-game once the game has loaded.
- 9). Press the "~" key on your keyboard once the game has launched. Type "/exec xxx.cfg" without the quotation marks and where "xxx" is the name you have given to your .cfg file. Press "Enter" to load your configuration file. This step only applies if you have named your configuration file anything other than "autoexec.cfg."
