You must eliminate exposure to dust mites to reduce allergies, ear aches, and sinus infections!

If you are allergic to dustmites, you can take the following steps to create a "dust-free" home. Since dust contains molds, fibers, and pet dander; elimination of dust can help relieve allergies and asthma symptoms.

Dust mites, that live primarily in bedding, drapes, furniture, and carpets, need moisture and warmth to live and multiply.

So summer is their favorite "season" to breed and winter is usually their time to die because humidity is lower (less than 30%) in the a typical home, as long as you don't run a humidifier all winter long they will die.

1.) You can buy a humidity reading device to ensure that humidity remains under 30% all year long and to keep mite population in check. Personally, I keep the humidity in range all summer by keeping my air conditioner set to 75 degrees.

Dust mites are so small that they can only been seen by a microscope; however, the dust you see in the air through a ray of light will include dust-mites and their wastes.

Dust mite excrement is really what people are allergic to, not the dust-mite itself-sounds nasty but true!

2). Proper Cleaning Techniques to maintain a dust-free home also can help reduce exposure to other irritants contained in house dust such as:

** Mold and Bacteria. **

** Decayed Food Remnants. **

** Parts of insects/cockroaches. **

** Other Debris from Chemically Treated Fabric Fibers. **

** Human skin and animal dander are all common culprits. **

A person may be sensitive to any of these things and upon exposure can have an allergic reaction.
