"Why am I so bloated?" This is a question I am often asked by my clients and online readers And although there are quite a few reasons why you may be feeling a little bloated or holding a lot of water, I have some really quick and easy techniques you can use to reduce the bloating.
Fist of all, the bloating I'm talking about is when your stomach sticks out a little like a basketball and your overall muscle definition looks soft.
Sometimes your stomach can even feel as hard as a rock as it pushes over your belt buckle.
Simply stated, it's all caused by a build up of gas in your stomach, as well as from other nutritional and hormonal factors.
Here are the main reasons you feel bloated:
  • Food allergy intolerance (like lactose or wheat)
  • Too many processed foods
  • After eating a heavy meal (high in fat)
  • Hormonal
  • After drinking excess fluids (not necessarily unhealthy)
  • IBS
  • Stress or anxiety
So how do you stop the bloating? The best technique is to prevent the gas build-up from ever occurring.
That means following a diet plan that consists of lots of healthy and nutritious foods like lean proteins, omega-3 fats, vegetables, and fibrous fruits.
The extra fiber will help you out in the long run by actually pushing undigested food and all sorts of other toxins through your digestive tract.
Keep in mind too that you may have different sensitivities to certain foods that cause you to feel bloated.
Mental note (or better yet write it down) every time you feel like you have a swollen stomach and figure out what you ate that was out of the ordinary.
