How to Upgrade Linux to Windows Vista
- 1). Insert the Windows Vista DVD into your DVD drive. Restart your computer. Windows will load the setup files.
- 2). Enter your language, regional and keyboard options. Click "Next." Click "Install Now."
- 3). Enter your product key into the blank field. Check the DVD sleeve or case to find the product key.
- 4). Click "Next." Select your edition of Windows Vista from the list of versions. Do not select an edition different from the one you purchased, because Windows will disable features and prevent you from activating your OS. Click "Next."
- 5). Read the End User License Agreement. Check "I accept the license terms" to continue. Click "Next."
- 6). Click "Custom (Advanced)." Select the disc where Linux is installed. Click "Drive options (advanced)."
- 7). Choose "Format" from the options and follow the on-screen directions to format the contents of the disc with the NTFS file system.
- 8). Click "Next." Vista will install itself over Linux. Continue through each remaining screen to setup your user options.
