    • 1). Lower the truck's window on the side of installation. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry off the corner molding of the side view mirror. This is on the interior of the door and is shaped like a small triangle where the mirror is held in place.

    • 2). Pry off and remove the molding that surrounds the door handle. Pry off the control panel for the window and mirror and disconnect the harnesses. Remove the two screws from the arm rest and set the arm rest aside. Fit the flathead screwdriver beneath the door panel and pry upward and to the left to loosen the snaps.

    • 3). Lift away the door panel and remove the marker bulb from its bracket.

    • 4). Pull away the plastic sheeting near the bottom right side of the door and unplug the mirror control wire connector beneath.

    • 5). Remove the triangular foam pad that was beneath the corner molding. While holding the mirror with one hand, use the socket wrench to remove the three mounting nuts that keep the mirror in place. Remove the mirror.

    • 6). Place the new side mirror in position and tighten the three mounting nuts to fasten it in place. Return the triangular foam pad to the corner molding. Plug in the wire connector for the electric mirror beneath the plastic sheeting.

    • 7). Return the door panel and marker bulb to their original positions. Push down near the bottom of the panel so it snaps into place.

    • 8). Screw in the arm rest. Reconnect the harnesses for the window and mirror control panel and push the panel back in place. Push the molding that surrounded the door handle back into place. Snap the triangular corner molding of the mirror back in place.

    • 9). Start the car battery to test the mirror and adjust its position.
