    • 1). Receive automatic emancipation. The Mississippi minor is granted automatic emancipated once the age of majority is reached. The age of majority in Mississippi is 21. Automatic emancipation is also granted if a minor marries, joins the arm forces or is incarcerated for a felony for at least two years.

    • 2). Own property in Mississippi. The Chancery Court of Mississippi will grant request to remove disability of a minor if the minor owns property in the state.

    • 3). Attend court proceedings. The Chancery Court will decline to remove the disability of an minor who is 18 or younger if the minor is not available for interview and examination.
