You have no doubt seen both the exterior and the interior glass office doors that are used in commercial applications. Most stores and businesses have some form of these units in place at the front entrance to their shops. If they can cause someone to stop who is just walking by they can get more people to shop at that location. Not to mention when the scene is very cute the people that see it will remember it and they will also remember the products that were displayed. When they think of buying those products in the future they will think of that shopping center as a place to go buy them.

Interior offices and boutiques inside of malls often have the glass coverings over their entrance ways. Most of them choose the sliding versions that automatically open when a person steps on a pressure switch located in front of the door but some of them have the regular swinging units that people have to pull or push to open. All of these offer the opportunity for shoppers to look at what is on display beyond the entrance. This encourages them to enter if for no other reason than to browse the displays.
