Altar at Second Floor, Thai Hoc, Temple of Literature, Hanoi

Altars on the second floor of the rear-most building in Thai Hoc honor three notable kings of Vietnam.

The three kings remembered here are King Ly Thanh Tong (1023-1072), the monarch who founded Van Mieu in 1070; Ly Nhan Tong (1066-1128), the founder of the Imperial academy in 1076; and King Le Thanh Tong (1442-1497), the king who set up the first doctors' stelae in 1484.
