How to Set Up the Android SDK on a MacBook

1). Start your computer and log in. Click the "Safari" or "Firefox" icon on your OS X dock.
2). Navigate to the Android SDK download page, listed in Resources. Click the link marked "mac_x86.zip." Save the file to your computer desktop.
3). Double-click the ZIP file. Extract the folder to your desktop.
4). Click the "Finder" icon -- the magnifying glass -- in the upper right-hand corner. Type "Terminal." Click the "Terminal" application.
5). Navigate to the unzipped folder on your desktop. Open the "Tools" folder. Type "android" and press "Enter." The Android SDK application will start up.
