104 49

    Affidavit

    • An affidavit is a sworn statement of fact. When you sign an affidavit, you affirm that the information in the document is true. An affidavit may require a witness or notary to also sign to verify your signature.

    Signs and Permits

    • An Affidavit Of Posting may be signed as legal confirmation that you have posted or displayed a sign or permit in a particular place. For example, a building or renovation permit may be required by local law to be posted on the building which is being renovated. By signing an affidavit of posting, you confirm that you have complied with this legal requirement.

    Postal Service

    • An affidavit may also be signed to confirm that certain legal documents have been placed in the mail or "posted." For example, an attorney dealing with a probate case may sign an affidavit stating that she has mailed all documents to each of the interested parties in the case.
