- 1). Click the "Start" button in the left corner of your Windows task bar, at the bottom of your desktop. Right-click the "My Computer" icon in your "Start" menu and select "Properties" in the right-click menu.
- 2). Click the "Advanced" tab in your "My Computer Properties" window. Locate the "User Profiles" area and click the "Settings" link.
- 3). Click the profile name you're editing in the list of profiles that appear in the "Profiles Stored on This Computer" box. Click the "Change Type" button and select "Roaming Profile" to update the profile. Click "OK" to save the setting.
