Wizkid is the name of the popular Nigerian singer whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun. Wizkid was born on sixteenth of July in 1990. He was born in Lagos Nigeria. He is a Nigerian song writer, performer and recording artist. Wizkid got popular because of the song €Holla at your boy€. Wizkid songs are mainly of afropop or afrobeat genre and are vert popular all over the world. He signed his first record deal with the Empire Mates Entertainment in the year of 2009.

His life

He was born in Surulere which is a commercial and residential area of Lagos only. He had a big family and he was the youngest of his six brothers in an interview he only told that his father had three wives. He started singing at a very tender age of 11 and then he released a seven track album by name €Lil Prinz€. In the starting his family was not very supportive and did not had positive view towards music carrier because of the very reason for gaining the trust of his father Wizkid had to spent lots of time in the studio itself and worked very hard to get the desired result.

His music career

In 2010 he started recording his debut album which was titled €superstar€. The first single was released and gained positive response from many the song €Holla at Your Boy€ was the lead song of the album.

In the current time he is working on another project which has a name €Chosen€. This will be the second album of Wizkid and is expected to be released in 2014 only. This very album has suffered a push back in its release date. As we all know that there are number of fans out there of the Wizkid and they are waiting for this album desperately.
