Dia Mirza stunned all when she walked on to the red carpet at Arpita Khan's wedding reception with her husband Sahil Sangha. Dia looked absolutely ravishing in shades of yellow paired with huge earrings. Sahil looked dapper in a black suit.

Dia was smiling all through the event, knowing exactly what was running through Arpita's mind, having recently gone through all the motions herself just a few days before. Dia got married to long time beau Sahil in Delhi after being courted for over four years. They've become a power couple of sorts in the industry; with Dia and Sahil's production house Born Free Entertainment. Their willingness to experiment, and their faith and support to newer talent on the block is providing a breath of fresh air to the industry.

Amongst the films they have produced, €Love, Breakups, Zindagi€, is a romantic film about the trials and tribulations one goes through relationships. Dia stars in the film along with Zayed Khan. The other film was the smash hit, €Bobby Jasoos€ which broke conventional stereotypes in India about women detectives. The film starring Bollywood siren Vidya Balan received rave reviews from audiences around the world. Dia and Sahil, through Born Free Entertainment had taken a long time before deciding to back the film as they wanted it to be a successful venture. Their faith was rewarded when the film released.

Dia, who started off her career as a model working on print and television for brands such as Lipton, Emami and Walls Ice Cream slowly moved into the world of beauty pageants, winning the Miss Asia-Pacific title in 2000. She then began working in films as an actress with her debut in €Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein' alongside R Madhavan and then films such as €Dum', €Deewanapan', €Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge', €Tumsa Nahin Dekha - A Love Story', € Parineeta', €Dus' and €Lage Raho Munnabhai'. She has played many different roles in these films and worked across genres, helping establish her as one of India's finest acting talents.

Dia has also been involved with social causes, showcasing the need for everyone to care about their surroundings. She is an active supporter of the Cancer Patients Aid Association, PETA, Child Rights and You, Adapt and Greenpeace India. She has taken a strong stance against crimes on women with her support of the Leave Me Alone campaign by Sanctuary Asia and various campaigns on battling female foeticide.

In an industry where actors and producers are considered aloof and unaware of the world surrounding them, Dia Mirza stands out as an artiste with a heart.
