I'm going to give you an essential PPC campaign tactic you must do. It will almost mend your PPC pains, and improve your conversions.

This will work on both the content and paid search networks, and universally should help you boost your CTRS.

BUt this has nothing to do with PPC ads, landing pages, keyword research, or some sort of secret software.

What is it? Be more organized with your PPC campaigns...especially on Google.

What do I mean?

Simply, one of the best ways, to improve your results, to improve your CTRs is to separate your adgroups by Content and Search networks. Creating different ads, but using the same keywords.

This is such s simple, yet important tweak you can make to your campaign...but, so mnay marketers stumble with thie one simple tactic. They either skip, neglect, lr just don't know about the benefits of splitting their ad groups.

My old smart marketing employer use to make this same fatal faux pas! They fashioned elaborate campaigns with $250 ad budgets for each one of their ad groups (a million dollar PPC budget), each group was well structured, had critical keywords, and even good ads...But they wouldn't split the networks up.

Why is this is a killer? Two reasons...

1.) Not all keywords and PPC ads work on all networks. For a few reason, several keywords work like gangbusters on paid search but not as much of so on content network...and just the opposite. By separating your two types of campaigns you can tailor your keywords to your explicit networks. By not splitting your ad groups by network, you use the same ads and keywords for both. This kills your potential CTRS and Conversions.

2.) You need to track everything, and too much mixing makes stats murky! Tracking is the single as a rule essential tool for a pusher, you be inflicted with to test and test and test to go to see could you repeat that? Machinery greatest. By having ad groups with both content and search networks you'll bringing down your own results and making it harder to even guage the "true" success of ads and keywords.
