• Find a charity or organization in your community that receives donated cars. Some places you can start are 1-800-Charity Cars (800charitycars.org), America's Car Donation Center (donateacar.com) and Cars for Cause (cars4causes.net). Organizations will donate or gift a vehicle to someone in need. Call to find out what their requirements are.
  
  

Follow-Up

• If you qualify for a donated or gifted car, make sure that you continuously follow up with the charity organization. You need to make it clear that having a car is important to your livelihood.
  
  

Fill Out Forms

• Make sure that you fill out all the necessary documents in a timely manner and turn in anything that is asked of you. Having the proper paperwork will ensure that you receive your vehicle and that it's not passed on to someone else.
