Secondary nameservers are meant for the backup process only while the caching nameservers are intended for resolving name queries.
However they don't have any database of nameservers.
Here it is important to note that primary nameservers maintain the database of nameservers.
So any change in primary nameservers must be passed on to secondary nameservers.
Resolver: It is runs on a system which initiates the DNS look up.
It has a list of all the nameservers available.
This is the basic principle of a resolver.
To sum up, when a nameserver accepts a request it contacts another nameserver to get the address corresponding to a particular name.
DNS plays vital role in modern internet world as well as web hosting.
