- 1). Install the attachment onto the slide hammer, following the slide hammer manufacturer's instructions. When pulling an object out from its other side, use the claw attachment. When pulling off a plate pressed onto a spline, bolt the combination puller to the plate.
- 2). Forcefully move the sliding portion of the slide hammer toward the T-handle until it strikes the handle.
Repeat until the object is free. - 3). Remove the slide hammer attachment.
