Coffee Makers Make the Morning Better

103 9
What would I do without coffee makers? Your alarm clock goes off.
You roll over, sort of grumbling because it is just too darn early to wake up.
Next, you jump in to the shower and try to revive yourself.
As you are getting dressed, a wonderful aroma comes creeping up the stairs.
When it hits your nose, your mouth starts to water.
There is nothing tastier than the first cup of hot coffee in the morning.
I like mine with a bit of hazelnut cream and just a dash of artificial sweetener.
Oh, how wonderful that first sip feels as it glides over my tongue, down my throat and into my stomach.
Probably the thing that I love the most about coffee is the smell of it.
I cannot walk by the coffee beans display at the supermarket without getting at least one new kind to try in my new coffee maker.
And what a coffee maker it is.
Calling it just a coffee maker may be a bit of an understatement.
It not only makes delicious hot coffee, it does other things as well.
That little baby grinds the coffee beans first.
As if that was not enough to thrill you, it has a timer.
Yes it does.
I can set my coffee maker at night before I hit the sheets.
Right about the time I am whining about having to be up so early, the coffee process begins.
The beans begin to grind, then the water and grounds start to mix up and heat, and then the carafe starts to be filled with that heaven in a machine: coffee.
You can get coffee makers for every type of coffee you want or need.
There are small ones for people who live alone.
Alternatively, there are huge ones that could provide the entire neighborhood with that first morning cup of joe.
My favorite of all coffee makers are the ones that have hot water all of the time.
You can push a button and just get hot water that fast.
It is terrific if you want a cup of cocoa or are a tea drinker.
I remember when people would come over to my house and my mother would say, 'Let me just put some coffee on.
' Then we would sit around for about thirty minutes looking at that coffee cake.
Boy that was like sheer torture.
My sister and I were just going to drink milk anyway.
Why should we have to wait until that old percolator was done? It seemed so unfair.
Finally, that old coffee maker would finish, ending the torture, and we would be served our lovely treat.
Now in the time it takes to make coffee a kid would not even notice that they had to wait for cake.
Okay, they might just a little.
Go shopping for coffee makers.
You will be stunned by all of the bells and whistles that are available now.
Decide which features are most important to you and then get that machine.
Just remember, the timer that makes coffee before you even are done with your shower rules!
