How to Disable the Windows XP Home Task Manager

1). Open the "Start" menu and click the "Run" command. This will open a new dialog box containing a text field.
2). Type "Regedit" into the text field and press "Enter." This will open the Windows Registry Editor.
3). Navigate to the following key using the left pane in the Registry Editor window:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
4). Locate the entry in the right window labeled "DisableTaskMgr."
5). Right-click this entry and select "Properties," then change the "value" option to "1." This will disable the Task Manager.
