How to Run a Disc Cleanup

    • 1). Click "Start," type "Disk Cleanup" into the search box and then press "Enter."

    • 2). Select the drive you wish to clean if prompted and click "OK." A "Disk Cleanup" window will appear.

    • 3). Check the boxes next to each category of unnecessary system files that you want to delete under "Files to Delete." Temporary files, temporary Internet files and downloaded program files may be selected by default.

    • 4). Click "OK" and then "Yes" or "Delete Files" to confirm that you want to carry out the cleanup process. The specified files will be deleted.
