What would you feel if your husband suddenly doesn't show up? How would you explain to your children that you don't know where their father is and if he's still coming home to you? Tough questions to answer indeed but somehow, you will need to find the answers for the sake of your kids.
But first off, you need to accept your situation and face it squarely.
It may be hard to do.
However, there's no way to go but move forward with your life.
You have kids to raise and if you go on getting depressed and keep to yourself, who would take care of them? Remember, depression can affect your physical well being so as much as possible, remain strong and take action.
Seek your friends and share your thoughts and feelings.
At this point in time, you need to let it out and you can only take away those heavy feelings you're keeping if you talk it out with a friend.
Do not hesitate to discuss your personal issues with friends.
True friends should be able to understand you and be willing to listen to you without being judgmental.
If you feel like consulting a therapist, go ahead and do what you think would help relieve the stress and frustrations you're feeling.
A professional advice can be a big help especially in terms of answering the questions that continue to bug you.
A marriage counselor or therapist should be able to guide you on the best moves to take whether you want to file a divorce or not.
Sometimes, you may feel lucky to have your children with you and continue to avail of financial support from your spouse but then again, you may still feel that something's lacking.
Without having the opportunity to settle your marital issues, somehow you will continue to ask yourself why your partner just disappeared and refused to come back.
This may even go on for quite some time especially if you're the kind of person who's been faithful and committed to your relationship and who can't think of any valid reason for your partner's sudden disappearance in your life.
If there's any chance that you can locate your spouse, go ahead and do it.
Contact him or her to finally discuss everything and decide on your relationship.
If, however, it's been taking too long to find out his whereabouts, you can make a decision on your own and file a petition for divorce.
Without your partner showing up and communicating with you, you have the right to make a move that will put an end to your relationship and let you move on with your life.
Difficult as it may seem, you need to be strong for yourself and for your children.
If your partner no longer wants to be involved, that's fine.
Filing a divorce may be the right step to take to legalize everything.
Make sure you get a job yourself so that in the event your financial support is cut off, you can still lead the life you want.
