  DWD provides services such as custom job matching, resume assistance and job-seeking assistance through local and regional WorkOne offices. Many WorkOne offices provide resources such as local newspapers, computers and fax machines available to job seekers for their job search. DWD also administers unemployment insurance to unemployed workers who qualify.

  DWD offers employers a central location to post job openings. The department pre-screens a candidate before making a referral to an employer, reducing the time required for human resources departments to find a qualified applicant. Businesses who hire qualified employees are eligible for tax credits and grants.
