How to Back Up Links in Chrome
- 1). Open the Google Chrome browser and find the Tools menu. This is a wrench icon located in the upper right corner of the browser. Click on the wrench and a drop-down menu will appear. Select "Bookmark manager" from the menu. A new tab will open automatically.
- 2). Click on the "Bookmark manager" tab to bring the tabbed window into view. Click on the word "Organize" in the top left side of the browser window. A drop-down menu will appear. Select "Export bookmarks." A download window will open automatically.
- 3). Select the location where the file containing the bookmarks will be saved. This saved file can be imported into any Google Chrome browser by clicking on the wrench, then "Bookmark manager," "Organize" and "Import bookmarks."

- 2). Click on the "Options" tab to bring the tabbed window into view. Click on the words "Personal Stuff" on the left side of the browser window.
- 3). Click on the button that says "Set up Sync" at the top of the browser window. Enter the email address and password of an existing Google account and click "Sign In."
- 4). Choose the option to sync everything or select "Customize" and choose to only sync bookmarks.
- 5). Access the saved bookmarks on another computer by downloading Google Chrome and syncing Chrome on that computer with the same Google account.
